CCAIA¡¯s Standardization Work Conference Held in Changsha

 From April 18th to 19th, the standardization work conference organized by CCAIA kicked off in Changsha, Hunan. The main content included the 2024 work meeting of CCAIA's standardization work committee, the kickoff meeting for the first group standard preparation work in 2024 and the GB 14544 "Safety Technical Specification for the Production of Vinyl Chloride by Calcium Carbide Acetylene Method" (draft) seminar. The conference was attended by members of the standardization committee, enterprise leaders, and experts from 49 key chlor-alkali production enterprises, scientific research institutions, and design units, including Xinjiang Tianye, Qingdao Haiwan, Shaanxi Beiyuan, Tangshan Sanyou, Shanghai Chlor alkali and Ordos Chlor alkali. At the 2024 annual working meeting of the Standards Committee, Vice President Zhang Xin of the Association introduced the work of the Standards Committee and the background of the first group standard projects in 2024. He also put forward overall requirements for the drafting and preparation work. During the exchanges, the attending members proposed many constructive suggestions and opinions. At the kickoff meeting of the group standard preparation work, Hu Yongqiang, the leader of the CCAIA's safety expert team, interpreted the key points of the revised and added content of GB 11984 " Safety Technical Specification for Chlorine Gas" (draft for soliciting opinions). Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary General of CCAIA, and others explained the background, significance, outline framework, and work ideas of the 15 group standard preparation work. After the attending representatives had a thorough discussion and exchange on the drafting and preparation of project standards, the meeting arranged and deployed the next steps of work. At the revision workshop of GB 14544 "Safety Technical Specification for Production of Vinyl Chloride by Calcium Carbide Acetylene Method" (draft), China Chengda provided an insight into the draft. Then the major acetylene-based PVC producers , as well as China Tianchen and Bohai Chemical Engineering Design Units, participated in sufficient communication and discussion.
