From March 28 to 30, Zhang Xin, the vice president of CCAIA, participated in the investigation team organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to visit Xinjiang to investigate the progress of mercury-free catalyst and green development. The investigation team was composed of Wang Peng, director of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization, Mu Ying, the second-level inspector, Yang Ziwei, the deputy chief of the department, and Li Yuanyuan from the Raw Materials Department. The investigation team visited Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical Fukang Energy Co., Ltd. to inspect the operation of the 10,000-ton copper-based mercury-free catalyst device on site and listened to the report on the efficient application of low-mercury catalyst, the application evaluation of copper-based mercury-free catalyst, and green development from Xinjiang Zhongtai Group. The investigation team also inspected Xinjiang Tianye Group Co., Ltd. on the spot, and listened to the work report of Tianye Group in the research and development, application, and evaluation of mercury-free catalysts, as well as the construction of 225,000 tons of ethylene PVC project for coal-based ethanol to ethylene.
