On December 29, 2023, the MCCP Additional Information Seminars organized by the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of Ecology and Environment Ministry was held in Beijing. Representatives from China Building Materials Federation, the Lubricating Grease Committee of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, CCAIA, China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China National Coatings Industry Association, China Adhesives and Tape Industry Association, and Beijing University attended the meeting. The vice president and secretary-general of the association, Zhang Peichao, and the director of the Research Department, Wang Li, attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Sun Yangzhao, the director of the 3rd Contracting Division of the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of Ecology and Environment Ministry. The meeting introduced the relevant situation of POPRC19. The representatives conducted in-depth discussions on the chemical characteristics of MCCP, allowable concentration limits, specific exemptions, and other contents. Secretary-General Zhang Peichao of CCAIA introduced the important role of chlorinated paraffin in maintaining the balance of alkali and chlorine in China¡¯s chlor-alkali industry. He suggested that the limit of MCCP content in long-chain products should fully consider China¡¯s national conditions. At the same time, he put forward relevant suggestions for the downstream exemptions of MCCP.
