On August 29th, the General Branch of the CCAIA held a democratic life meeting on theme education, which was chaired by Zhang Wenlei, Secretary of the General Branch of the Association. The General Branch of the Association highly regarded and took the theme of education seriously. Before the meeting, learning was organized specifically to lay a solid foundation for a good democratic life meeting. Members of the leadership team of the association and members had heart-to-heart conversations with Party cadres and the masses respectively. At the meeting, Secretary Zhang represented the leadership team of the General Branch to make a self-assessment. He reported on the learning experience of the theme education and the implementation of rectification measures from the previous democratic life meeting. He seriously identified problems from six aspects: theoretical learning, political quality, ability, responsibility, work style, and Integrity and self-discipline. With presenting typical cases, he analyzed problems and root causes and proposed directions for improvement and rectification measures. Members of the leadership team made self-assessments successively and conducted problem identification from their own perspectives. They also conducted self-reflection on the reasons for the existence of problems and proposed directions for improvement. At the same time, members of the leadership team conducted criticism and self-criticism with each other. The meeting emphasized that in the next step, the Association should take the theme education as motivation to focus on the following work: firstly, continue to enhance theoretical learning, leverage political positioning, serve national development strategies, better play the role of the Association, and promote high-quality development of the chlor-alkali industry; secondly, further improve their own abilities and competencies , better plan the work of the Association, and elevate the level of serving industry enterprises; thirdly, resolutely overcome formalism and bureaucracy, strengthen research and investigation work, continuously improve working conditions and remuneration package for Association staff; fourthly, solidly promote Party discipline, strictly manage internal affairs of the Association, form a systematic and complete system of the Association, focus on creating an atmosphere of strict implementation of rules and regulations, and create a clean and politically healthy ecological environment.
