Zhang Xin, vice president of CCAIA, made a special report on the "14th Five-Year" development guide for the chlor-alkali industry. The meeting reviewed and voted on the "Proposal on the Report on the Associations 2020 Membership Fees Revenue and Expenditure", "Proposal on the Management Measures for the Associations Branches and Representative Offices", and "Proposal on the Associations Main Branches and Responsible Units". Representatives at the meeting fully affirmed the work of the association in 2020, and believed that the association adhered to the purpose of serving the industry and enterprises well, fully fulfilled its responsibilities, and worked closely around the focus and difficult issues of the production, operation and development of the industry, and achieved great results. Great achievements have been made to promote the healthy and high-quality development of the industry. Regarding the focus of the next step, everyone put forward opinions and suggestions, and believed that the association should focus on the following aspects: 1. While doing a good job in monitoring the economic operation of the industry, we should further strengthen policy research. On the one hand, guide and promote industry enterprises to strictly implement relevant national industrial policies, especially policy requirements in terms of production capacity control, safety management, environmental protection requirements, and carbon reduction measures. On the other hand, fully reflect the demands of industry enterprises and strive for relevant policies that are conducive to the development of the industry; 2. Further strengthen the self-discipline of the industry. The industry self-discipline convention was adopted at the 16th general meeting in November 2020. The association should actively guide the industry to strengthen self-discipline and establish a good social image of the industry. Advocate fair competition, strictly implement the requirements of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, the Montreal Convention and the Minamata Convention on Mercury, protect intellectual property rights in accordance with the law, strengthen the construction of industry integrity, and continue to promote industry responsibility Caring for work; 3. Further strengthen technical exchanges in the industry and promote scientific and technological innovation. Give full play to the role of the five expert groups of caustic soda, polyvinyl chloride, safety, environmental protection and quality of the association, focus on complementing shortcomings, strengths and weaknesses, and focus on promoting domestically produced ion membranes, mercury-free catalysts, high-salt wastewater treatment, and high value-added consumption. Research and development, application and promotion of key areas such as alkali chlorine consumption products, expansion of polyvinyl chloride application fields, and hydrogen energy application; 4. Further do a good job in key special projects. Make full use of trade remedies to maintain order in the domestic market, and do a good job of PVC double anti-reverse work; do a good job in the work of the International Cooperation Working Committee, strengthen international exchanges, and promote industrial upgrading; do a good job in the standardization committee, and systematically organize the compilation of group standards, Lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the industry; 5. Further strengthen the associations own construction, continuously strengthen the construction of the associations party organization, strengthen member management and services, and continuously improve the ability and level of the service industry. At the same time, focus on the work of the major chlorine product professional committees, and promote the healthy development of key chlorine products in terms of policy research and struggle, technical exchanges, especially the introduction and promotion of new technologies, market coordination, and downstream market development.
