The 2024 National PVC Technology Annual Conference Kicked off in Kunming

 From September 23rd to 25th, the 2024 National PVC Technology Annual Conference organized by CCAIA kicked off in Kunming, Yunnan, attended by 209 representatives from PVC manufacturers, scientific research institutions, and related equipment companies. Zhang Xin, Vice President of CCAIA, and Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary General, respectively presided over the meeting. Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA, and Yang Lirong, Chief Engineer of the External Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, delivered speeches. Xiong Xinyang, Deputy General Manager of Xinjiang Tianye, delivered a keynote speech titled "Research and Analysis on Green and High Quality Development of Polyvinyl Chloride under the 'Dual Control' Policy". Zhang Xin, Vice President of CCAIA, Wang Li, Director of the Research Department, and Ning Xiaogang, Chief Engineer of Shaanxi Beiyuan, respectively gave special reports on "Analysis of Key Related Policies in China's PVC Industry", "Development Status of PVC Special Resins in China", and "Development and Production Technology of New PVC Grades"; Leaders from key enterprises such as Shanghai Chlor Alkali, Qingdao Haiwan, Xinfa, Zhejiang Oceanking Development, Inner Mongolia Junzheng, Tangshan Sanyou, Shenyang Chemical, Qilu Chlor Alkali, Chinese Acedemy of Fiscal Sciences, Intelligent Analysis Service, Tianjin Bohua Engineering and China Chengda Enginerring exchanged information on their work in production equipment technology innovation, energy conservation and carbon reduction, intelligent upgrading, quality improvement, safety and environmental protection, standardization, and downstream applications. While professors of Shaanxi Beiyuan, Ordos Electric Metallurgy, Kaili Catalyst New Materials, Nankai University and Hebei Meibang Chemical introduced the research and application evaluation of mercury free catalysts, Professor Bao Yongzhong from Zhejiang University provided an insight into the latest technological progress in vinyl chloride polymerization. 97 papers were received at the conference, with first, second and third prizes as well as excellent awards selected and commended. During the conference, a special PVC expert group meeting was held, where the attending experts analyzed the main issues in the industry's technical field and further clarified the focus and content of the expert group's work.
