From June 24th to 25th, the 24th China Chlor-Alkali Forum was held in Chengdu. More than 400 representatives from chlor-alkali and upstream and downstream industries attended the meeting. Deng Yusong, deputy director of the Institute of Market Economy of the Development Research Center of the State Council, made a keynote report on "Current Development Stage, Structural Adjustment and Energy Market Pattern Analysis"; Pu Chungan, executive vice chairman of China Industrial Gas Industry Association , Zhu Guoliang, Vice Chairman of China Salt Industry Association, Yang Chuanwei, Secretary General of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association, Zhang Huaitao, Deputy General Manager of Xinfa Group, and Luo Jianxiong, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of Sichuan Paper Industry Association respectively introduced the upstream salt industry, calcium carbide, downstream papermaking, the development status and prospect of alumina and hydrogen energy industry; Zhang Peichao, vice president and secretary general of the association, made a special report on "current chlor-alkali industry operation status and policy environment analysis"; the meeting also heard reports on caustic soda and polyvinyl chloride market analysis, a special report on the development status and prospects of the main chlorine-consuming products in the chlor-alkali industry, the development status of the traditional application fields of PVC and the expansion of emerging consumption fields, and listened to the introduction of the new chemical material base in southern Sichuan and the introduction of the application of new tools in the futures market, as well as the introduction of new technologies, new equipment, new products and new logistics serving the chlor-alkali industry.
