Nearly 150 representatives from the domestic chlor-alkali industry and upstream and downstream industries attended the meeting. Liu Yan Jie, secretary-general of China Salt Industry Association made a special report on the current situation of Chinas salt industry and the development overview of the "14th Five-Year Plan". Yang Chuanwei, Secretary-General of China Calcium Carbide Industry Association, made a special report on the economic operation of Chinas calcium carbide industry and the development direction of the "14th Five-Year Plan". North American Chlorine Institute, Formosa Plastics Corporation, the European Chlorine Association, the Russian Alkali Association, Australian Vinyl Association, and South American Chlorine Association, Indian DCM Company both introduced the latest status and trend outlook in different areas through video online. At the same time, the delegates at the meeting also heard wonderful speeches from domestic upstream and downstream industries. During the meeting, a roundtable meeting of leaders of key production enterprises in the chlor-alkali industry in 2021 was specially held. The leaders of key chlor-alkali enterprises attended the meeting and conducted in-depth discussions on the current hot issues and key work directions of the industry.
