On December 20th, the sixth meeting of the eighth council of the China Salt Association and the 2024 (7th) Salt Industry Development Forum were held in Wuhan, Hubei. More than 160 representatives from the national salt industry system and its upstream and downstream industries participated in the meeting. Zhang Peichao, the vice president and secretary-general of CCAIA, was invited to attend the meeting. At the Salt Industry Development Forum, the Institute of Industrial Economics of the CCID Research Institute, the Soda Industry Association, China National Salt Industry Co.,Ltd, the Jiangsu Salt Institue and the Hubei Salt Group respectively gave special reports. Secretary-General Zhang Peichao of CCAIA gave a report on the economic operation analysis of the chlor-alkali industry. The forum carried out exchanges around topics such as the green and high-quality development of the salt industry, the disposal and resource utilization of industrial waste salt, the promotion of low-sodium salt and the development of the downstream caustic soda and soda ash industries.
