CCAIA Accompanied the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment to Conduct Research in Shaanxi

 From July 11th to 13th, Jia Jielin, Vice Director of the Heavy Metal Department of the Chemical Division of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Pang Tao, Director of the Solid Department of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, went to Yulin and Xi'an, Shaanxi to investigate the application, research and development, and production of mercury free catalysts for acetylene-based PVC, accompanied by Zhang Xin, Vice President of CCAIA, Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary General, and Director Li Qiong who were invited for research. The research team conducted on-site investigations on Jinjie new projects of Shaanxi Beiyuan and Shaanxi Jintai, listened to reports from the enterprises on the industrial application of mercury free catalysts, and exchanged ideas on the current problems and next steps in the application of mercury free catalysts. The research team had a talk at the Xi'an headquarters of Kaili New Materials Co., Ltd., discussing the current research and production status of mercury free catalysts. Vice Director Jia Jielin affirmed the progress made in the research and application evaluation of mercury free catalysts, and put forward specific requirements for the technology and economic evaluation of mercury free catalysts. CCAIA will work with major enterprises in the industry to prepare a feasibility assessment report on the technology and economy of mercury free catalysts for carbide-based PVC, and submit it to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the coming days.
