On May 24th, the Fourth Meeting of the Sixth Council of Calcium Carbide Industry Association of China was held in Beijing, with over 80 representatives from domestic calcium carbide industry enterprises participating in the meeting. Zhang Yu and Lu Weidong, the chairmen of the Calcium Carbide Industry Association, as well as Secretary-General Yang Chuanwei attended the meeting. Zhang Peichao, the Deputy President and Secretary-General of CCAIA, was also invited to attend the meeting. The meeting analyzed the current situation and challenges faced by the calcium carbide industry, and enterprises participating in the meeting exchanged information on their operational status and problems encountered. At the same time, the meeting discussed the relevant matters concerning the preparation for the upcoming election of the Calcium Carbide Industry Association. Secretary-General Zhang Peichao of CCAIA presented a special report titled "Analysis of the Economic Operation of the Chlor-alkali Industry and Related Key Policies," introducing the latest economic operation situation of the chlor-alkali industry and relevant policy interpretations.
