On May 12th, the Atmospheric Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment organized a symposium in Beijing on the implementation of the Montreal Protocol by the fluorine chemical industry. Among these participants were the Atmospheric Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, CPCIF, CCAIA, China Chemical Industry Environmental Protection Association and China Association of Fluorine and Silicone Industry. Wang Li, Director of CCAIA's Research Department, attended the meeting. While the meeting was chaired by Zhou Zhuye, Vice President of CPCIF, Li Pei, the first level inspector of the Atmospheric Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, reviewed the progress of China's fluorine chemical industry in fulfilling the Montreal Protocol and analyzed the current compliance situation at home and abroad, and proposed the next steps for work. These representatives had in-depth exchanges and discussions on promoting the high-quality development of the fluorine chemical industry, managing the use of carbon tetrachloride raw materials, reduction and quota allocation plans for hydrofluorocarbons and policy tools.
