A symposium on Stable Growth of Oil and Chemical Industry Organized by CPCIA was Held in Beijing

 On February 27, a symposium on stable growth of oil and chemical industry organized by CPCIA was held in Beijing. The leaders of NPCPI, CCAIA, CRIA, CNFA, CPFIA, CCPIA, CISIA, NCIA, CDA and CSIA attended the meeting. While the meeting was chaired by Zhao Jungui, Vice President and Secretary-General of CPCIA, different departments of CPCIA, NPCPI and key associations respectively exchanged the current problems faced by various industries and put forward targeted policy recommendations. Among them, Zhang Peichao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CCAIA, introduced the current operation of the chlor-alkali industry at the meeting, pointed out that the industry was facing problems such as declining downstream consumption boom, rising electricity prices and increasingly fierce competition in overseas markets, and then came up with policy recommendations such as determining the industry reasonable electricity prices, restoring the export rebate rate of caustic soda, and lifting the transportation restrictions on solid and hazardous chemicals. In his speech, Huang Yu, Director of the Petrochemical and Chemical Division of the Department of Raw Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out that he would attach great importance to the opinions of the participants, carefully sort out the list of issues and policies of various industries after the meeting, actively promote the steady growth of the petrochemical and chemical industry, and advance the sound and stable development of the real economy. In his concluding speech, Li Yunpeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of CPCIA, requested the participating units to improve their political standing, attach great importance to and actively offer suggestions, and fully cooperate with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to contribute to the steady growth of the petroleum and chemical industry.
