The National Standards Expert Review Meeting on Energy Consumption Quota per Unit Product of Key Products in Chlor-Alkali Industry was held in Beijing

On August 23, CCAIA and CPCIF jointly organized the National Standards Expert Review Meeting on Energy Consumption Quota per Unit Product of Key Products in Chlor-Alkali Industry (caustic soda, PVC resin, chlorinated methane) in Beijing. Among the participants were Fan Hongbo, Secretary General of the Standardization Working Committee of the Association and other representatives of the drafting group from Xinjiang Tianye, Zhongtai Chemical, Haiwan Chemical and Ningbo Juhua. The review meeting was conducted by 30 experts organized by the National Energy Basic and Management Standardization Technical Committee. The review team listened to the explanations proposed by members of the standard drafting group on the background, process and content of the standard formulation and then asked questions. The review team, based on the principle of being scientific, realistic, conscientious and responsible, fully and carefully discussed and reviewed the contents of the draft standard in details. The experts agreed that the integrated revision of the standard would hold great practical significance to achieve the national goal of energy conservation and consumption reduction by improving the energy consumption control level in the production process of related products in the chlor-alkali industry, strengthening supervision of energy conservation and helping the industry improve energy conservation measures towards low-carbon development. Finally, the review team unanimously passed the review of the standard. It was suggested that the drafting unit, according to the review and modification opinions, modify the submitted standard to form a draft for approval, submit it to the National Standardization Administration Commission for approval and release it as a mandatory national standard.
