The Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau paid a visit to CCAIA for research

On July 21, Bai Ming, Director of the Early Warning and Case Filing Department of the Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and its two other deputy directors including Zhan Yaxiong and Wang Chengguang paid a visit to CCAIA for research. Among the CCAIA participants were Zhang Peichao, Vice President, Zheng jiebin, Deputy Secretary General, Li Qiong, Director of the Information Department and Wang Li, Director of the Research Department. Director Bai Ming spoke highly of CCAIA for its remarkableachievementsin trade relief work over the past two decades and took a great delight in seeking opinions from CCAIAthrough specially selecting it as a key research object of the Ministry of Commerce. Additionally, he introduced the current work focus of the Trade Relief Bureau, including industrial early warning and trade relief assistance, and expressed thanks to the Association for its support. In response, Zhang Peichao, Vice President of CCAIA, elaborated on the economic operation and trade relief work of the chlor-alkali industry and advised the Ministry of Commerce totake advantage of the trade relief system to support the industrial early warning and the export trade barriers response of PVC and key chlorine-consuming products. His other suggestions included adding tetrachloroethylene to theProhibited CatalogueList forProcessing Trade, keeping a close eye on the export restrictions on products made in Xinjiang, Northwest China and taking countermeasures. While Director Bai Ming valued those suggestions, CCAIA expressed its willingness to keep close contact with the Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau to promote the development of trade remedy in the industry.
