CCAIA attended the symposium on green and low-carbon transformation of key industries

    On November 26, the National Development and Reform Commission organized a symposium on green and low-carbon transformation of key industries in Beijing. 11 industry organizations including Petrochemical Federation, Chlor-Alkali Association, Inorganic Salts Association, Nitrogen Fertilizer Association, Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Association, Calcium Carbide Association, Iron and Steel Association, Coking Association, Ferroalloy Association, Nonferrous Metals Association, Building Materials Federation and other 11 industry organizations attended the meeting.Deputy Director Gong of the Industrial Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission presided over the meeting. In combination with the "Several Opinions on Strict Energy Efficiency Constraints to Promote Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction in Key Fields" and "Notice on Issuing the Energy Efficiency Benchmark Levels and Benchmark Levels in Key Areas of High Energy Consumption Industries (2021 Edition)" The energy efficiency levels of various industries and the problems existing in green and low-carbon development were introduced respectively, and targeted policy suggestions were put forward on cultivating industry energy efficiency benchmarking enterprises and promoting the transformation of enterprises whose energy consumption did not reach the benchmark level. At the meeting, the association introduced the energy efficiency level of China caustic soda products, analyzed the existing problems, and put forward eight suggestions on how to further improve and transform. Deputy Director Gong introduced the various work carried out by the Industrial Development Department in energy efficiency: strengthening policy publicity and interpretation, classified policies and guidance for various industries, support and research on special funds and financial policies, and strengthening follow-up supervision and support system construction, etc. Deputy Director Gong expressed his full attention to the suggestions made by the associations, and hoped that the associations would vigorously cooperate with the National Development and Reform Commission in the follow-up energy efficiency work, establish a support system and other aspects to jointly promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in key areas in my country.
